Lego Mindstorms 8547 NXT 2.0 – Color Sorter!!!

This should be the first project on YouTube that is based on the new NXT Temperature Sensor (9749). The reading range of this “giant” thermometer was intentionally limited from -15 to 60oC to facilitate the design of this construction. However, the actual reading range of the digital NXT Temperature Sensor is much wider (from -20 to 120oC or from -4 to 248oF). Reading resolution is one decimal point (eg 24.4 degrees). The new Temperature Sensor has a long metal tip (about 64mm). The total sensor tip length, including the plastic “nose”, is about 77mm. The difference with the rest common sensors (such as lignt, US, sound etc.) is that cabling is fixed, meaning that there is no connector socket at the back of the sensor. Cable length is about 51cm. Programmed on the new NXT-G 2.0 (with Data Logging), while the NXT Brick firmware was upgraded to V1.26 (instead of 1.05). web.mac.com

First of all, the design is not mine! It is Laurens Valk’s. The program is to. I built this of of his book, Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 Discovery. All credit goes to him. This robot sorts bricks by color and size. Sorry I haven’t uploaded in so long. I plan on making an autofabrik! Wish me luck!

I did not use any motors just a complex mechanism, so I think it’s better than other peoples’ and the money actually falls somewhere safe not something u can just pull out.

Conveyor-belt with colour detection This is a very nice project for the youth It’s a conveyor-belt and it transport lego bricks On the right side the brick are lying in a rack, by pushing the button, one brick goes on the conveyor-belt and running to the point that is programmed. Its detecting 3 colour YELLOW RED GREEN, On the screen you can see, simple massages as PUSH BUTTON, YELLOW, RED and so on, also the NXT calls the colour. What you can learn from this project is: That some colours difficult to detect (red and yellow are almost the same value). That the light sensor is very dependent on ambient light. The program is very simple, my son has made it, you can make it so difficult as you want, like displaying colour value, and automatic calibration with due observance of ambient light.
