    NXT Boomerang Snail

    Simple NXT program making use of the NXT Servo (Motor) Rotation Sensor. Feature the EXO-FORCE green wheels track meshing and traction provided by friction with rubber wheels, one NXT with rechargeable battery Motor on port A and Ultrasonic Sensor on port 4.

    I wish the thing would be faster! but then it would not be called ’snail’

    I made this as one of the robots i presented at the Montreal ToyCon 2009 and used film footage of it to practice making good movie with iMovie 09 … please stay tuned for upcoming DALEK video… cuz i filmed quite some footage of it to!!!
    Meanwhile this video could be presented in a robotic classroom or NXT workshop as simple NXT-G programming exercise.

    RoboFest 2009 @ Rulang Primary School (Day 1)

    The LEGO® Engineering Conference 2009 is jointly organised by Science Centre Singapore, National University of Singapore, Tufts University Center for Engineering Educational Outreach, LEGO Education (SEA) and Rulang Primary School Zonal Centre of Excellence Robotics.. It will be held at the Science Centre Singapore on 16 March 2009 and Rulang Primary School on 17-18 March.

    The objective of the conference is to provide a venue for educators to share & present the use of LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT and robotics in education and a tool for teaching and learning not necessarily confined to science and mathematics, as well as using robotics as a tool for creativity and innovation to create products and systems to improve our quality of lives.

    This year conference is the 3rd Annual Event in Singapore with the first one successfully held in NIE in 2007. It is a 3-day event compromising a keynote address by Prof. Chris Rogers from Tufts University, an international symposium, a panel discussion on Potential Impact & Challenges in Robotics, and two parallel workshops (basic and advanced) on LEGO Mindstorms. The advanced workshop will be conducted by Prof. Chris Rogers. Rulang Primary School would be conducting Robofest 2009 workshops by Kristen Bethke Wendell, Research Assistant and Programme Manager from the Tufts University Center for Engineering Educational Outreach on 17-18 March to promote robotics education among existing or new schools who are interested in setting up the robotics clubs or integrate robotics into their curriculum.
