Much respect to the original creator of the Tilted Twister. Check out the original video for more information or visit http://tiltedtwister.com. After seeing that building instructions and source code was released, I was inspired to build this myself. I ran into some problems, but eventually got it working after some changes to the code. My hat goes off to Hans Andersson, for building/designing this amazing robot and for releasing instructions and source code to the public. Thanks a lot!

where do i get the instructions
The instructions for building the Alpha Rex is actually built into the "Mindstorms NXT" program that came with your set on a CD. Install and run the program, then you’ll find the building instructions for four different robots. It’s like an online LEGO manual. An individual page with building instructions is shown for each step and you advance the pages on your computer.
You might want to check out my son’s Mindstorms NXT review web site. We’re about to start posting pictures, video, instructions and the actual program code for robots we’re building. We hope to have our first one up later today.

I would like to build a car, robot, etc, but I want it to fail (stop moving its motors) after 5 or 10 mins. is this possible? can you use timers in the program or something like that?
Also, if you had the program done, assembly instructions and required pieces to build a not to complex car (2 motors, 2 sensors) how long do you think it would take to someone who has never seen a mindstorm.
thaks for your time
it takes great skill and confidence
