im going to buy a mindstorm NXT but i want to know about the sensors in each one of them , thanks .
I only have the NXT minstormer 1.0. This one comes with:
1 Touch sensor
1 Sound sensor
3 Moters
1 Some sort of light sensor (not sure what it is called never really used it)
1 There is also the eyes (forgot what it is called) and they measure how far away things are and detects things.
I do know that the NXT 2.0 has two touch sensors and not a sound sensor though. The NXT 2.0 is not really better to me, it is just a different version. Pick which one has that parts you want. Hope this helped.
I read about it in a magazine and I think it looks awesome and ive read its very simple so is it worth it? Its something over 300 but under 400 dollars and its my money ( Im a teen and have a job )?
In my opinion it is not worth it. I wouldn’t spend that much of my own money on it.
If you are good with computers…yes. They mindstorms can be very fun. But for the more technically challneged, there are the new power function sets which can be used for a variety of things.
I have a Science Fair and I have 2 days to think of something (Experimentable question) then experiment and do all that sciencey stuff. I NEED A REALLY GOOD experiment, so I’d appreciate any cool ideas. I was thinking of doing something like how humidity affects the rate of evaporation of water. But I wanted to do something rly cool. Also I have a NXT Lego Mindstorm Robot (that I can program to do things) incase anyone has any ideas that I can use that. Thank you.

Which is better i do not care about price. Please give reasons and examples. The mindstorm can play hockey, basketball, soccer, golf and can be a radio, clock, alarm, lock for doors, safe, money safe, candy dispenser, can attack objects, lawnmower, open doors, foot smasher, and much much more ( 3,700 discovered, but more posiblities)
also can be a camera and video camera.
Now there is 3924 things you can make now including a sowing machine, butler, and a coke cap sorter.
THAT’S NOT EVEN A COMPETITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the software comes with a commercial license, prohibiting its copying and distribution. But it is your right to have a copy of the software(you already paid for it) so try contacting their customer support. If they don’t help, I think it is OK to look for "illegal" sources in your case.
So, I have a little knowledge of mindstorm from messing around with droid developer. I think it’s time to step it up though. SO, my question. Should I opt for buying the cheaper first Mindstorm Robotic set off of Ebay, or go ahead and spend the money on the NXT? Pro’s and cons about the old and new? I know wikipedia tells you about it, I’ve read all of that..I wanna hear a straight review from somebody
